About the Competition
The National Inter-School Quiz Bowl is designed to celebrate intellectual curiosity, teamwork, and broad general knowledge. Moving beyond standardized classroom syllabi, the contest encourages students to stay informed about world events, technological breakthroughs, literature, and geography.
Major Quiz Rounds & Format
Preliminary Written Screening
- General Screening Test: A timed 50-question objective round covering current affairs, general science, and history.
- Top Finalist Selection: The top-scoring six school teams qualify for the live on-stage buzzer championship.
Live On-Stage Championship Rounds
- Round 1 — General Awareness: Direct questions testing national heritage, politics, literature, and world geography.
- Round 2 — Audio-Visual & Multimedia: Identifying historical speeches, rare audio clips, iconic monuments, and scientific phenomena.
- Round 3 — Science & Tech Innovations: Conceptual questions covering modern discoveries, space missions, and digital technologies.
- Round 4 — Rapid-Fire Buzzer Finale: High-stakes speed round with negative markings testing accuracy, confidence, and quick reflexes.
Audience Interactive Trivia
- Audience Passes: Questions passed to the student and parent spectator gallery with instant spot prizes.
- Interactive Spot Quizzes: Fun riddle and trivia breaks keeping the entire auditorium engaged between formal rounds.
Awards & Recognition
- Championship Trophy & Gold Medals: Awarded to the overall winning school quiz team.

Guidelines for Participating Teams & Audience
- Registered school teams must report to the registration desk by 9:00 AM for stage orientation and buzzer testing.
- Each participating school delegation must consist of three active student quizzers and one optional reserve.
- Audience members are strictly requested to maintain absolute silence while questions are being read out to the stage teams.
