About the Annual Sports Meet

The Annual Sports Meet is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on our school calendar. It brings the entire school community together to encourage physical fitness, resilience, discipline, and healthy house spirit. Students compete across junior, intermediate, and senior categories to earn points for their respective houses: Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.

Event Highlights & Major Competitions

Opening Ceremony & House March Past

  • Torch Relay & Oath-Taking: Lighting of the ceremonial sports torch and torch relay led by school sports captains, followed by an official oath pledging fair play.
  • Synchronized March Past: Disciplined inter-house parade evaluated by external judges on timing, posture, synchronization, and marching cadence.
  • Cultural Drill & Aerobics: Energetic mass drill routines, rhythmic gymnastics, and martial arts demonstrations presented by junior wing students.

Track & Field Athletic Competitions

  • Sprint and Endurance Races: High-energy 100m, 200m, 400m sprints, and the thrilling 4x100m inter-house relay races.
  • Field Competitions: High jump, long jump, shot put, and javelin throw testing technique, strength, and agility.
  • Primary Fun Events: Engaging obstacle races, sack races, and spoon-and-marble competitions designed for younger learners.

Inter-House Team Sports Finals

  • Championship Matches: Concluding final matches for the Inter-House Football, Volleyball, and Basketball tournaments.
  • Tug-of-War Showdown: High-stakes inter-house tug-of-war contests testing collective power, coordination, and team endurance.

Awards Ceremony & Championship Trophies

  • House Championship Trophy: Awarded to the house securing the highest overall aggregate score across all sporting disciplines.
  • Best Athlete Awards: Individual trophies and merit certificates presented to the top male and female athletes in junior and senior categories.
  • Fair Play & March Past Honors: Special awards recognizing exceptional team discipline and presentation during the opening parade.

Spectator Guidelines & Schedule

  1. Events commence daily at 9:00 AM sharp; parents and guests are requested to take their seats in the stands by 8:45 AM.
  2. Participating students must be present in full house sports tracksuits with appropriate athletic footwear.
  3. First-aid response teams, hydration points, and teacher marshals will be positioned throughout the venue.
